Leehurst Swan School, age 11+
Leehurst Swan High School provides an excellent education to its students because it puts its students at the center of its activities. Leehurst Swan is the only high school in Wiltshire to be ranked in the top 50 schools. The motto of the school is that learning should be imaginative and fun, with laughter. The school is relatively small, which allows the professional staff to dedicate themselves individually to each student.

Leehurst Swan School professors pay close attention to exciting learning opportunities and creative activities for children. The high academic results that students achieve are the result of nurturing the individual qualities of each student. Professors encourage students to use their full potential and provide an environment in which this is possible. The emphasis is on achieving personal achievement and success at all levels. Students are motivated, inspired and challenged through the curriculum, in all subjects. There is a wide range of subjects offered that enable language, creative and scientific development. The Career and Personal and Social Education program complements academic studies, to broaden students’ views and understanding of contemporary issues, preparing our students for their future outside of school. In small classes, students receive the personal attention of enthusiastic, professional and highly qualified staff who take the time to explain and encourage students to achieve their best. As students grow from childhood to adolescence, they are encouraged to consider their teachers and teachers as people they can talk to and trust. By the age of sixteen, our students are self-confident, rounded young people, able to think independently and ready for the challenges of sixth grade, further education and the modern world. We are committed to a shared education in which both sexes learn equally well, learn from each other and are fully prepared for life outside of school.
